Background

In 2021, the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) initiated a pivotal move with the inception of the Institute for the Future of Work (IFOW), a nexus for global collaboration and innovation. This institute serves as a bridge connecting academia, government, and industry, fostering a symbiotic relationship that nurtures ground-breaking insights and solutions for the rapidly evolving world of work.

Following a triumphant dialogue in 2022, we are gearing up to delve deeper into the complexities and opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) on the future of work and solutions to address the South African Skills Conundrum in the context of Industry 4.0 readiness.
