The Brother Moves On describe themselves as “the ghost inside the magic, the stranglers of an innocent idea of bringing performance art to its knees through costume, music and storytelling ”. This 12 year old creative concept of a 6 piece band/collective based in Johannesburg South Africa has taken the international Jazz community by storm. Having played the London, and Berlin Jazz Festivals in 2022 the band have the opportunity of a 12 gig tour of the United States and Canada from the 6th of November 2024 to the 18th of November 2024 and a five gig tour in Europe from the 19th to 25th of November 2024. The band are trailblazers in the Johannesburg live and avante garde scene and need your help in getting their DIY campaign to North America. A tour of this kind not only opens up a new markets for future work and cultural exchanges, but will secure several months income for 6 socially conscious musicians/artists who have been keeping the flame burning for close to a decade in a volatile local scene.
Please join us on the 13th of July 2024 for our fundraising gig at Le Vin Wine and MCC Shop in Rosebank for an intimate show in a warm settting as we continue our fundraising efforts for our tour.
