The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is thrilled to announce our exciting partnership with South Africa’s leading pet care speciality retailer, Absolute Pets, to bring you the most pawsome event of the year!
Join us for a fantastic day filled with fun activities for you and your furry friends!

Here's what you can expect at the Woefie Wandel Pet fair:
- 12:00 | Gates OPEN
- 12:30 | First walk starts.
- 13:00 | Second walk starts.
- 13:20 | Series of lucky draws throughout the day.
- 13:40 | Exciting demonstrations.
- 14:00 | Enter your dog into our Best Trick competition or stand a chance to win a spot prize for 'Happiest dog', 'Tiniest dog', or 'Biggest dog'.
- 14:40 | Main Lucky Draw.
- 15:00 | Visit the SPCA stand to donate and enter into our lucky draw to win fabulous prizes.
- 16:00 | The END. Our unforgettable day will come to an end.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Dogs must be on a lead and under an adult’s control at all times.
- Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Dogs under four (4) months may not participate.
- Dogs easily overheat, so participants must ensure each dog is in good health and is given access to water along the route and at the start and finish.
- Participants must take extra special care of short-nosed dogs (i.e. bulldogs) and seek veterinary assistance if the dog displays breathing difficulties.
- Participants must consult a qualified veterinarian before entering the event, should they have any concerns about their dogs’ ability to participate in the walk.
NB: NEITHER THE SPCA, THE SPONSORS NOR THE VENUE WILL BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY ILLNESS, INJURY OR ACCIDENT ARISING.
This is a fun walk and not a race!
HELPFUL HINTS
- This is approximately, a 2km fun walk. If you are at all unsure of whether your dog can complete such a distance, please consult your veterinarian before entering the walk.
- Be observant and look out for excessive panting from your dog. This might be a sign that your pet is suffering from heat exhaustion.
- If your pet is suffering from heat exhaustion, place him or her in a shady area and if possible gently spray its body with cold water to cool him/her down.
- If concerned call for veterinary assistance. There will be trained Animal First Aid personnel situated along the route should you require assistance.
- Walkers are strongly advised to wear comfortable hiking or walking shoes.
- Please bring hats and sunscreen.
