Join us at Victoria Yards on October 14th and 15th, from 12 PM to 8 PM.
This unique experience promises to be an inclusive and enriching experience centred around wellness, engaging conversations, and vibrant celebrations.
Be True is a continued commitment to Nike's ongoing dedication to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Day 1 join us in conversation on October 14th, Saturday, hosted by Lwazi Madonsela from the Cnr Juta & De Beer podcast alongside Ayabonga Ngoma from The House of Diamonds and FOMO Fridays. They will guide you through a captivating live podcast experience and will be joined by a stellar lineup of artists and activists whose work aligns with the 'Be True' values of equality, community, culture, and belonging. Notable guests include visual artist Haneem Christian, activist Thami Dish from the Thami Dish Foundation, wheelchair tennis star Kgothatso Montjane, and former Olympic sprinter Alyssa Conley. They will share their inspiring stories alongside captivating performances by drag sensation ADAM 'The Glamour Clown', beats by DJ Lelowhatsgood from Vogue Nights Jozi, and the melodious tunes of musician Zoë Modiga.
Day 2 takes a holistic approach, transitioning from conversations to movement curated by Other Village People. This day offers an experience that emphasizes collective care, connection, and community. This will all be experienced through Art, various sports, games and well-being. To set the perfect mood, DJs such as Womlambo, Mamthug, and DBN Gogo will treat you to a diverse range of sounds, with a live performance Thando Nje.
