Cavod Performing Arts- Fully Alive NEXT LEVEL Holiday Club 2024

ABOUT

Cavod Performing Arts and House of Praise will be conducting a week-long performing arts Holiday Club for children aged 10-18. The workshops will be Monday-Friday 8-12 January from 8:45-15:00 and on Saturday 13 January at 9:00 there will be a Closing Performance where the kids will get a chance to perform alongside Cavod Performing Arts to showcase their skills to family and friends.

Lunch will be provided. Please bring a water bottle.

Available workshops listed below. Each student can take 4 workshops.

• Hip-Hop
• Join this high speed, energetic class paired with fun beats that will inspire all to move in their God given freedom! Fast paced warm ups and powerful dance combos will vary in street dance styles and will leave dancers feeling alive!

• Contemporary Worship Dance
• This class will take you on a journey through scripture, movement, and prophetic imagery to grow closer to Jesus and to find freedom in movement. Class will kick off with a warmup and then all will be encouraged to go deep in their worship through dance!

• Vocals/Worship
• Use your voice as an instrument of worship! Learn vocal warm ups, harmony, and step into your God-given talents. Learn what it takes to lead congregational worship!

• Drum Lessons
• Learn the basics of drums with our skilled instructor! This time of learning will focus on the fundamental skills you will need to know to continue in your artistry and perform a new song learned by the end of the week.

• Musical Theatre Jazz (Dance)
• Join us in this class to discover the Broadway Dancer inside of you! Listen to world renown showtunes and learn exciting combinations, as you are coached by our instructors through each dance step. This upbeat and athletic style of dance will encourage dancers to leap, turn, and move with sharp edges and flavor! We will also pay special focus on performance quality and stage presence! 

• Scrapbooking
• Collect pictures from the week captured by our team and construct a scrapbook to take home full of memories from the week. Get creative with drawings, cutouts, and stickers to decorate your scrapbook however you would like. 

• Art
• Discover the artist in you. In this class you will learn to blend, shade, paint, draw, and create a masterpiece to take home with you at the end of the week. Take time to discover how the Lord can speak though your artistry.

• Acrobatics
• Learn incredible athletic tricks that require strength and flexibility. Our skilled instructors will teach you how to flip, turn, roll, and dance all while incorporating performance quality and precision! 

• Basketball
• Mix it up on the court with teams built by leaders and camp participants alike! This healthy time of competition will help build community amongst campers while getting to show off your ability on the court. All are welcome!
