The LONG WAIT for our highly anticipated LONG TABLE event is finally over!

We at Joon, partnered with @the_field_kitchen , are thrilled to be hosting our 4th annual long table event on the 24th of November 2023.

Mark your calenders for a not to be missed, unique eating experience that centres itself around community, food and sharing.

This inaugural event includes a scrumptious 3-course Mediterranean style dinner, live music and a free wine tasting.

(this event is otherwise BYOB)

LIVE MUSIC BY KEEGAN STEENKAMP AND THE UNDERCOVER LOVERS

MENU:

*STARTERS*

whipped feta & roasted tomatoes

-hummus

-cucumber with Cumin yoghurt and mint

-balsamic braised onions

-marinated olives

-pickled peppers

-olive oil crackers

-???????pea, feta and mint fritters

*MAINS*

-flame cooked whole line fish with bay leaves, lemon, charred spring onions and salsa verde.

-flame grilled leg of lamb, marinated in buttermilk, garlic, rosemary and lemon with muhammara.

-fire finished brassicas & alliums with roasted whitebeans and a roasted pineapple chermoula.

-lemony roasted baby potatoes

-flat breads with a garlic-rosemary oil????.

-cape gooseberry meringue sandwiches with honey spiked cream.

-chocolate prosecco truffles

The Long Table is all about celebrating community. Sit next to loved ones and/or strangers, have inspiring conversations – connect, laugh, debate, and simply enjoy – while savouring a seasonal feast prepared by local chefs June Homan (Joon Restaurant) and Darryl Burger (the field kitchen)

The Muizenberg Community Long Table offers locals, and visitors alike the opportunity to connect with the Village Vibe of Muizenberg, whether you live here or not. We guarantee there is no other event like this in Cape Town!
