ABOUT

The brilliant Semi Sweet Art Club is coming to Joburg and Andticks. Started by artist Andel Olivier during Covid Lockdown as an escape for people to get together and have fun. Andel teaches what she knows – sketching, drawing, collaging and painting. These are skills she believes anyone can learn.  Through these workshops she hopes to inspire ladies (or others) to engage with their artistic side regardless of their experience level.

The workshops are for everyone, from beginners looking to try something new to experienced artists who want to tap back into their creative side.

Charcoal is Andel’s favourite medium as it is so versatile and forgiving. Perfect for beginners and experience artists alike. Similar to sculpture, as a medium it lends itself to add and subtract with relative ease, it flows like watercolour but can be sharp like ink.  We’re looking forward to Andel showing attendees all its glorious potential through a series of relaxing and entertaining exercises about the basics of drawing and creating a wonderful composition based around summer fruits.

Price includes entrance to Andticks, materials, snacks and cooldrinks.
