ABOUT


We will be going to the magnificent Southern Berg (Garden Castle) and hike to the beautiful Pillar Cave!


We will visit:

Pillar Cave, Pillar Cave Annex, some beautiful streams and rock pools, a small waterfall, a suspension bridge, Hippo Pool and other interesting places


Time & Place to meet:: 8.45 for 9am

Garden Castle Camp Site parking lot

Hike distance: appr. 8km

Duration: appr 4 hours

Cost:

Adults: R399pp

U13s: R299pp (regrettably no toddlers)

Including transport from Durban: R799pp

Fee includes professional guiding, awesome pics & videos.

Optional picnic can be arranged after the hike (bring your own drinks and food)


What to bring:


Walking shoes/takkies with good grip, snacks, water or cold drinks, a cap, sunglasses, a rain coat (in case) and a backpack to carry all that.

Please note that there are several stream/river crossing on this hike so it is advisable to bring a small towel with (to dry your feet)


If event is cancelled due to bad weather, new date or credit will be given.

Please note that we need min 10 people to go ahead with this event. if quota not met, event will be cancelled and refund will be processed.
