Calling all Tech Founders, Investors and Ecosystem Enablers! We’re excited to announce the next meetup of Startup Club ZA in Johannesburg.

Startup Club ZA is South Africa's fastest-growing tech startup and investor community, on a mission to foster connection and creating opportunity for the country's leading startup founders, funds, operators and ecosystem enablers. Our upcoming event on Thursday, 8 February 2024 will feature prominent guests Clayton Hayward (CEO & Co-Founder, Ukheshe) and Karidas Tshintsholo (CEO & Co-Founder, Khula!) for a night of invaluable connection, insights and opportunity.

THE GUESTS:

• Clayton Hayward is the co-founder and CEO of Ukheshe, a market-leading fintech enabler, changing the world of payments, compliance and banking in emerging markets. Since its founding in 2018, the business has scaled to serve over 100 enterprise customers and after raising a significant series A in 2022, has continued to expand internationally, alongside completion of several acquisitions. Clayton is a passionate thought-leader in the fintech space and is deeply committed to driving social impact and promoting sustainable growth through technology.

• Karidas Tshintsholo is the co-founder and CEO of Khula!, the pioneering agritech startup dedicated to empowering African farmers through access to markets and financing. Founded in 2016, the business now enables the trade of over 3000 products from over 100 local & international suppliers on its platform. Khula is a graduate of the Google for Startups accelerator, a past winner of the MTN Business App of the Year and has raised considerable investment from the likes of PepsiCo, AECI and E Squared. Karidas is passionate about finding inclusive sustainable solutions for emerging markets.

NEED-TO-KNOW:

• Tickets are mandatory for admission and your ticket does not include a plus-one. We regret no walk-ins.

• Attendance is capped to 200 pax. Once we have reached capacity, please email us at team@startupclubza.com and we will revert should space become available.

• Doors close at 6:10pm SHARP. We reserve the right to admit late comers, out of courtesy for our attendees.

• Light catering and drinks will be provided on the night.

• Limited Parking is available on-site at Planetworld (first-come-first-serve), with additional street parking available. Patrolling security will be on duty for the duration of the event.

• Tickets are not refundable, but transferrable up to 48 hours before the event. To transfer your ticket, please notify us by email and include the name/surname/email address of your replacement.

• IMPORTANT - on account of popularity and in order to grow a good attendance culture, "no shows" without prior notice will be excluded from future events.
