ABOUT

Maritzburg College presents a rollicking and fun-filled rendition of the 'Gilbert and Sullivan' classic. The show follows the misadventures of Frederic, accidentally apprenticed to pirates by his hard of hearing nursemaid until his 21st birthday. All would be well, were it not for the fact that he was born on 29 February.

A musical adventure, complete with romance, pirates, bumbling policemen and a pompous Major General with a bevy of beautiful daughters.

Presented in collaboration with The Wykeham Collegiate, the show features pupils from both schools and includes current and past members of the KZN Youth Choir.

Musical Direction is by David Solomon with vocal training by well-known Midlands choir masters, Patrick Harty and Jacques Linde. The show is directed by Jonathan Orton and produced by Kamany Thaver
