NWU School of Music & Conservatory

ABOUT

The School of Music and Conservatory is delighted to formally open the 2024 Concert Series with the legendary Potchpourri concert, in which some of our exceptional staff members and a few close acquaintances of the School of Music and Conservatory will be featured artists. This year special guest artists, André Terblanche and Winand Grundling will lead the festivities. This traditionally light-hearted and accessible event will be held on the 27th of February at 18:30 in the Conservatory Hall, 66 Thabo Mbeki drive.

This year's Potchpourri offers an exciting medley of sounds that will appeal to a wide audience. The varied programme ranges from Bizet to Sondheim and features a special rendition of the “Three Little Maids” from the Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan. Following the concert, the audience will have a first look at the concerts presented at the Conserve during the first semester.

Children and students are most welcome to attend free of charge but are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to contribute to the NWU School of Music food bank.

Season tickets for the entire semester are available at R900 and will give you access to TEN School of Music Concert Series events.
