Nestled between Heidelberg and Swellendam lies a magical haven where the harmony of music and the tranquility of nature intertwine. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythm of music, the beauty of nature, and the charm of country living. This year, we're proud to embrace diversity in all its forms. Join us as we bring together a symphony of sounds, from the elegance of classical melodies to the pulsating beats of African percussion. Our stage will be a melting pot of genres, showcasing the richness of musical expression and celebrating diversity as the spice of life.
The event is organised by well-known musician and conductor, Richard Cock, and a host of partners (including the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy).

This is the eight annual Silver Mountain Music Festival.
The festival has its own Youth Foundation to enhance opportunities for rural youth. Linked to youth day, the festival includes workshops by visiting artists, educational and recreational activities in rural schools.

The Scullery Quintet offers an exhilarating lineup of music, blending Classical, Jazz, South African, and popular genres with a unique twist. Their program includes reworked pieces by renowned composers like Bach, Bill Evans, Dvorak, Hugh Masekela, Piazzolla, Beethoven, and Kate Bush, among others. The ensemble delivers their repertoire in a down-to-earth yet enlightening style, celebrating and paying homage to an eclectic mix of melodies and improvised performances. Their approach can be described as a euphonious celebration of musical diversity, encapsulating "everything but the kitchen sink!" Greenlands Farm Table embodies the spirit of freshness and locality, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring our music to this extraordinary space. Diversity is the Spice of Life, Richard Cock and Friends in a Farm Shed, Strawberry Hill Farm

The Concert in the Shed at Strawberry Hill Farm is always a great highlight of the Silver Mountain Music Festival. Following the theme of diversity, we will have everything from a classical violinist, playing music by Fritz Kreisler, to sultry jazz from Monique Hellenberg.
Monique is one of South Africa’s best young singers, to some harmonic and eclectic vocal loops with Josh Loxton on guitar and the odd bit of percussion, to the
fabulous Silver Mountain Marimba players, directed by Junayne Baatjies. This concert is an incredible energizer which audiences have always loved, and Richard Cock will lead the orchestra in tributes to Henry Mancini who was born 100 years ago and wrote such favourites as Baby Elephant Walk and The Pink Panther. The afternoon includes a light meal provided by Skeiding Guest house. Come and join us and celebrate the diversity of music at its best. Adults R370. Children R300 .

Prize winning violinist Emmauel Bach plays Mozart’s famous Violin Concerto no 5, “The Turkish”, and the orchestra rounds off the programme with Symphony no 5 by Schubert – a work full of joy and cheerful melodies. Both composers were prolific masters of their trade and both died tragically young, but they have left us with incomparable works of art which we celebrate in this concert. Adults R200.
