It's that time of year again when our hands itch and our hearts long for the magic sparked by coming together to create something special.

Aftermath is an opportunity for each one of us to create a space for one another; a space to be ourselves, free of expectation but full of willingness to make each person's experience a better one. Aftermath is our chance to give what we have in excess - whether it be creativity, talent, love, or simply time.

Aftermath is:

a carnival of creativity and self-expression held on a derelict farmyard playground

a playful celebration of our being, our wonderful gifts, and the life within us

a happy and loving gathering of people who feel the need to make merry magnificent

an escape from your rigid shell, a place to morph into a free, more expressive self.

ONE DOES NOT ATTEND AFTERMATH - YOU CREATE AFTERMATH

You. Whatever it is that you and your gang dream up - big or small; live or still; loud, lettered or lit; sewn, said, sung or strutted; nailed, welded, painted, cuffed or glued: Gift us with your creative project. Or, if you can think of other ways to add meaning and fun to the mix, even if it’s just a tiny touch, do it.

There’ll be open terrain, there’ll be inside venues, there’ll be help and there’ll be plenty of appreciative peeps. So, think out of the corrugated container, prepare your plan, express yourself, join in and make it happen!

TICKETS

General Tickets: R300 each

Minor Tickets: Minors are very welcome, as you know, but keep in mind that as a parent you are fully responsible for your young'ns. All children have to be supervised by a parent or guardian, otherwise they will not be allowed access into Aftermath. Unsupervised children will be sent home to their parents'. Minor tickets are free and limited to 4 tickets to a parent/guardian, this is to ensure that each child is well looked after.

From Riebeek West: Follow the tarred R311 in the direction of Moorreesburg. About 10km after passing the gates of PPC, turn right on the Biesiesfontein dirt road. About 10km in on this road (take it easy), turn right at ‘KLIPFONTEIN TRUTER’ farm sign. One km on, at the first farmyard, is where it’s at.

Via the N7: Directly opposite the first (closest to Cape Town) turnoff to Moorreesburg, turn off onto the dirt road signposted Biesiesvlei. Then turn off your phone, relax and take a slow cruise for about 12km. Turn left at ‘Krabrivier’ farm sign. One km on, at the first farmyard, you’ll be there.
