Designed for those craving more than just a casual stroll, this tough hike offers two options: 8km or 15km. Prepare to conquer up to 6 breathtaking waterfalls along the way!

What you will see:
Clifton Fire Lookout Tower, the old Giba ruins, Clifton Canyon, NU Driving Range, rock shelter (weather permitting) and 5/6x waterfalls/cascades!
Time: 6.45am for 7.00am
Place: Cafe Umfula (Not Giba Gorge MTB Park!)
The hikes:
Option 1: Cascades, Giba Ruins, Clifton Lookout Tower+McKintosh Falls appr. 8km (round trip) 3 hours
Option 2: All the above + NU Driving Range, Clifton Canyon, Rock Shelter, Giba Gorge NR. appr.15km (round trip) 5-6 hours
Grading:
Regular hiker: Grade 3
Casual hiker: Grade 4
THIS HIKE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS
Cost: R249pp (includes private guiding, lots of excitement and adventure, awesome pictures and videos)
Please note that Giba Gorge charges a 45 rand entry fee (per person) which is payable on entering the venue and not included in this fee.
What to bring:
Water/cold drinks, trails snacks, backpack.
Please note that this event is going ahead whether it rains or shines and will only be cancelled/postponed under extreme conditions (extreme heat/cold, hail or heavy rain). Bring a rain coat. a little bit of rain wont hurt anyone! and the bugs will stay away. ;-)
Please also note that we need min 20 confirmed bookings to go ahead with this event.. If quota is not met, event will be cancelled and refund will be processed.

Grading Of Hikes:
Grade 1 Easy. Minimal fitness required
Grade 2 Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness
Grade 3 Moderate. Physical fitness advisable
Grade 4 Strenuous. Physical fitness essential
Grade 5 Very strenuous - high level of physical fitness essential
Well behaved pooches are welcome on this hike!
