ABOUT
The friendliest plastic pirate, Captain Fanplastic, who raids land & sea for treasures is premiering a theatrical experience of note on Saturday the 22nd of June.
What to expect?
As you might know storytelling is our big passion. Therefore, we are very excited for our partnership with The Jungle Theatre Company and a new theatre show called Captain Kwanda’s Fanplastic Adventures! The story is a fun way for children and adults to understand the effects of ocean pollution and climate change, while empowering them with practical steps to make a difference. #NoTrashButTreasure
Adapted from The Legend of Captain Fanplastic, the production takes us on a journey with Captain Kwanda and his turtle friend, Fin, as they sail around the Cape Coast and beyond in search of sunken treasures from old shipwrecks. The show is told using English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa, with fun songs and dances.
*Note adults can purchase The Legend of Captain Fanplastic book online here and our new book Captain Fanplastic & The Black Mermaid online here. Or add it to your ticket and receive your books at the show.
