The Life Saving Club at Fish Hoek Beach
ABOUT
This is an exclusive invitation to 150 runners / walkers only. We are asking you to lace up and run / walk for a reason in aid of Vrygrond people and their pets. It's more a run than a race but if you want to kick into 5th gear and do a personal best, we won't stop you. The run takes place on Sunday 6 October 2024 from 6.30am. The starting point is the Life Saving Cub at Fish Hoek Beach and the scenic route takes you all along the coast towards Fisherman's beach, which is about 1km past Simon's town country club and back. Water stations will be available. If you would like to participate but the full distance is too far, you will be allowed to run / walk in a relay team of 2 x 10.25km each, OR run / walk 10kms together as a team, turning around at the 5km mark, as long as you finish within 3 hours. Entry fee is R295 per person (R590 for a team of 2) and includes refreshments at the various stations, a branded First Ascent race t-shirt, special race pack, breakfast roll and hot drink at the end of the run as well as fabulous prizes for the top three Finishers, Fundraisers and Funkiest dressers. By signing up, you agree to personally raise a minimum of R1000 (R2000 for a team of 2) towards our overall goal of R150 000. The fundraising platforms will be provided. All you need to do is rally your friends and family to support you.
