ABOUT
Leading for Impact: Learning from Each Other
Background
Learning and Leadership is one of the key areas of INSPIRE’s work, activated through a range of programmes including Learning Events, Communities of Practice and Training Courses.
Our 2024 Learning Event, ‘Leading for Impact: Learning from Each Other,' will bring together senior Social Performance Managers, Executives and Head of Departments from the renewable energy and mining sectors. This event focuses on the exchanging of ideas around maturing Social Performance as a discipline and function, to increase the potential to deliver meaningful change within business, host communities and beyond. The Learning Event is a valuable opportunity to foster relationships and share learnings between key decision makers in these increasingly interconnected sectors.
Objectives
- DEFINE: To define and locate Social Performance within international definitions and frameworks, including ESG, thus taking it beyond a narrow Socio-Economic Development (SED) focus.
- EXPLORE: To explore the impact that Social Performance can have within organisations and host communities, including helping to facilitate a Just Energy Transition.
- SHARE: To share lessons learnt and best practice approaches that support the transformative role of the Social Performance function.
- EXCHANGE: To exchange ideas around how one leads for impact, including the skills and capabilities needed in teams to deliver on the full potential of Social Performance.
- COLLABORATE: To allow for meaningful exchange of ideas and lessons learnt between leaders in the renewable energy and mining sectors, thus creating the basis for ongoing collaboration.
- IDENTIFY: To identify areas of support needed in the renewable energy Social Performance space, and how collectively we might deliver on these.
