ABOUT
Somerset Colleges’ Annual Golf/Boules Day is a prestigious event on the school calendar, and has earned a reputation over the years as one of the best amateur golf days in the Western Cape.
Somerset College is a leading, independent, co-educational day and boarding school situated in the Western Cape Winelands. It is a registered Non-Profit Company overseen by a Board of Governors. The school has a strong academic, cultural and sporting focus, as well as impressive environmental initiatives. It has earned recognition for its unique and comprehensive outdoor education programme. The school also places a strong emphasis on social responsibility and runs a number of programmes which give students the opportunity to be actively involved in community projects.
The funds raised at this event will be directed towards campus development and to supporting the Acorn Bursary Trust (ABT). ABT provides bursaries to deserving candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our Saturday School Programme is run under the auspices of ABT and provide support to Grade 11 and 12 students from neighbouring schools.
