1000 Hills Chef School - Classroom Café

ABOUT

Join us, Hero777 (NPO), for an inspiring morning celebrating organ and tissue donation. Indulge in a delightful harvest table created by the students of the 1000 Hills Chef School while enjoying the inspiring stories from our guest speakers.

You'll hear three powerful stories of lives transformed by organ transplants:

Praveena Vather has lived 25 years post-heart transplant and is one of only eight people worldwide to have a baby after her transplant. Janet Legemaate is the mother of Matthew, the seventh person to have a heart and double lung transplant in Africa, and the third to survive the operation. Cindie Goldie has been a transplant coordinator for 22 years and has facilitated numerous transplants, helping to save many lives. These three ladies are passionate about organ and tissue donation and want to share their stories leading up to August, organ and tissue donor awareness month.

All money raised will go towards the extension of our Memorial Garden for donor angels in the Durban Botanic Gardens.

In addition to the delicious harvest table, attendees will also be treated to the sweet sounds of Belinda Dolphin and will receive an amazing gift from one of our sponsors.
