ABOUT
A reflective play inspired by the devastating aftermath of lost love. Award-winning playwright and performer Andi Colombo intertwines poetry, song, and storytelling to create an intimate theatrical experience that navigates the ever-changing terrain of love, loss, loneliness, and online dating apps. I want to write you a submarine has been performed at Kaapstad Toneelhuis in 2020 and 2023, as well as the Woordfees main festival in 2023.

Andi Colombo is a writer, filmmaker, actor, movement artist, and theatre-maker who firmly believes in the power of theatre to foster connection. Colombo holds a BA in Theatre and Performance (specializing in theatre-making) from the University of Cape Town. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the Zabalaza Festival in 2018.
