ABOUT

Operation Khataza, a seven piece band led by the enigmatic FARRAH KHATAZA, a mystical character brought to life by Sanele Blaai, accompanied by Jaryd Alexander (Bass), Timothy Fortes(drums), Benji Anstey(guitar), Mariana Del Carmen(Vocals), Lois Flandorp (Vocals) and Fabian Selote (spoken word).

Selected for the festival by SlowLife founder Paul Kahanovitz the band's unique sound is a captivating blend of sonics from across Africa. This music transcends boundaries, speaks to the African child on Love, waking from our sleep and slumber, an awareness of self! A conscious vibration by the African youth for Africa home and abroad. This band never ceases to deliver a profound and soul-stirring experience.
