Gys se lewe is ’n gemors, en hy bevind hom in ’n besonder donker hoekie. Sy baas, Roelf, moet sorg vir en skoonmaak agter ’n hondjie wat hy uitdruklik nie wou hê nie. Nou dwing hy vir Gys om sy vuil werk te doen en vir Buksie te laat uitsit. Dis óf sy werk óf die woef. Maar hoe kry enige iemand dit oor sy hart om ’n onskuldige brakkie wat niks makeer nie, uit die lewe te help? Gys moet ’n plan maak.
Gys’ life is a mess, and he finds himself in a particularly dark corner. His boss, Roelf, has to take care of and clean up after a dog he explicitly did not want. Now he strong-arms Gys to do his dirty work and put down Buksie. It’s either his job or the dog. But how does anyone have the heart to end the life of such an innocent and healthy little tyke? Gys has to come up with a plan.

Hunter, the lyricist of Fokofpolisiekar and Die Heuwels Fantasties, reads the poem himself.
