THE EVENT
The second in a series of two Art Café High Tea events at the 16 on Lerotholi Gallery features multi-disciplinary creator Tapiwa Guzha.
Svutusove is a five-course drink & ice cream (& sorbet ) conversation, highlighting foraged fynbos & continental plants while introspecting on the displacement of native plant life from both domestic and agricultural space.
Svutosove is a chance to reignite the practice of homemade, healthier alternatives to the ultra-processed commercial standards.
The Art Café High Tea series takes place at the 16 on Lerotholi Art Gallery in Langa.
Tickets are R550 per person. Kids of all ages are welcome, there are no kids prices.
Each of the participating artists is contributing works toward a group exhibition that will run at the gallery from 22 July to 04 August..

THE ARTIST
Tapiwa Guzha works across disciplines utilising whatever relevant tool to converse about continental history, stories, practices and culture. Whether through food or art, his focus is on contributing to the celebration and growth of continental culture. Highlighting difficult pasts and presents and trying to find excitement in the future.
He's mostly known as the founder of Tapi Tapi, a cultural advocacy space that uses ice cream to share knowledge and information about African cultures and cuisines.
Tapiwa also practices calligraphy under the pseudonym Kasvikiro which he uses to tell death and creation mythology, highlight philosophy and politics from Africa and bring some of our lesser-known stories to the fore.
