ABOUT
Handel se Messias in Londen.

The Stellenbosch University Schola Cantorum under the direction of Martin Berger and the Stellenbosch Camarata give a unique contemporary colour to Haydn’s (1732-1809) oratorio The Creation. The text of the work is based on a German translation of Milton’s Paradise Lost and narrates the story of creation as recorded in Genesis. The performance offers the audience the unique opportunity to see it from the perspective of current environmental issues, and the issue of women’s rights.
