With Evocations the focus is on the flute as solo-instrument, accompanied by string quartet and harpsichord. The programme includes well-known works by Christoph Willibald Gluck, Georg Philipp Telemann and John Rutter, as well as the lesser-known American romantic composer Amy Beach. The expressive flute, supported by the drama of the strings, will transport listeners on an imaginative trip into the past.
