This electrifying one-woman tour-de-force follows the life of grandmother Zenzile Maseko, who reckons with Nkhulukhulu (God) recalling the unbelievable series of events that have constituted her life. Zenzile, we soon discover, was recruited as the IFP’s most feared assassin (nicknamed The Lightning Bird) in the build-up to the 1994 South African elections. This acclaimed production has toured throughout South Africa and Europe to sold-out houses and was awarded four Naledi awards including Best Theatre Production, Best Director, Best Actor in a Solo Performance and Best Lighting.
