Sven Axelrad’s first novel, Buried Treasure, had a grumpy dog named God on the cover and in the story, and although his second novel has no dogs on the cover, two of them can be found between the pages. God’s Pocket is a celebration of the joys of being young. Sven talks to Nadine Petrick about his eccentric story worlds, his distinctive narrative voice and the role of his Yorkie Zoë in his life as a writer and accountant.
