We welcome you to a wellness experience. Join us for a fun, creative and interdisciplinary morning exploring the colour RED as mark-making and as physical movement. In the art session we'll explore the work of the iconic Andy Warhol, a Pop Artist with a vivid personality and bold art legacy to match. Drawing inspiration from his work (cut-outs, prints, collage and bright red), you will walk away with something you have created. Based on the Feldenkrais Method, the movement session involves a body scan, gentle movement exploration and guided attention. All skill levels are welcomed; no prior experience needed.

Your hosts:

Heidi Salzwedel (Art Box):

Heidi is an artist and educator with over a decade of experience in teaching art to a variety of age groups. Over the years of fostering art-making, and when completing her Masters degree in arts education, she has encountered many different (and sometimes surprising) approaches in encouraging others to birth the unborn creative parts of themselves.

Jessica Williams (Inbodi):

Jessica is a certified Feldenkrais® Method (a movement and awareness practice) practitioner, trained in Vienna, Austria. She has a particular passion for guiding people into caring for their bodies by learning to tune in to their kinesthetic experience of moving, with interest and curiosity. She also has a love for dance.

9:30 Introduction to Part 1: Inbodi movement class (Jessica)

10:10 Lead in to art part & refreshment break 

10:30 Introduction to Part 2: Art Box art class (Heidi)

12:00 Closing

• Secure parking is available
• Tea/Coffee and light breakfast refreshments* served
• Materials (canvas, paint, brushes) provided
• For the movement session please dress in loose comfortable clothing and bring an exercise/yoga mat if you have one.

*Freshly brewed tea & coffee. Fresh breakfast muffins & fruit platters. Lactose-free milk & gluten free option available upon request.
