By dié werksessie gaan jy een van die vroegste fotografiese tegnieke bekend as sondruk (cyanotype) leer ken. Ons verken eers ’n plaaslike tuin om voorwerpe vir ons komposisies te versamel. In die eerste werksessie gaan elke deelnemer self op papier unieke sonafdrukke skep met fotosensitiewe verf om huis toe te neem. In die tweede werksessie word die proses op ‘n lapsak toegepas. Die afdruk word verwerk wanneer die ink wat deur die skaduwee van die gefotografeerde voorwerp versteek is, deur lopende water afgespoel word.

This workshop introduces participants to sun printing – the process of printing the power of endless summer sunlight on paper through a photographic process. Cyanotype, the original sun print process, is one of the earliest photographic techniques. Come and explore a local garden, collect natural objects and compose your artwork. In the first workshop, each participant will create unique sun prints on paper with photosensitive paint to take home. In the second workshop, the process is applied to a cloth bag. The price of the ticket includes art supplies: paper, textiles and the chemicals needed to create your work. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
