Dié inisiatief gee aan feesgangers toegang tot plaaslike kunstenaars se skeppende ruimte. Deelnemende kunstenaars is op vasgestelde tye in hulle ateljee beskikbaar, terwyl van hulle ook in ateljees op die Blaauwklippen-wynlandgoed gehuisves word. Klim op ’n feesbussie in Ryneveldstraat en besoek die onderstaande ateljees in en om Stellenbosch.

Andries se werk pas in ’n realistiese skildertradisie. Hy probeer alledaagse – dikwels banale – voorwerpe en tonele op so ’n manier weergee dat die kyker met nuwe aandag daarna kyk. Die fokus is op komposisie, kleur en veral die manier waarop lig op voorwerpe val.

This initiative gives festival-goers access to the creative spaces of local artists. At set times, participating artists are available in their studios. Some of the artists are also housed in studios on the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Consult the guide to book a studio visit with your favourite artists. Andries says his work fits into a realistic painting tradition. He tries to represent everyday – often banal – objects and scenes in such a way that the observer looks at them with new attention. His focus is on composition, colour and especially the way light falls on objects.
