ABOUT

***

This initiative gives festival-goers access to the creative spaces of local artists. At set times, participating artists are available in their studios. Some of the artists are also housed in studios on the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Consult the guide to book a studio visit with your favourite artists. Hop on a park ‘n ride shuttle and visit the studios below across Stellenbosch and surrounds.

Johan’s preferred mediums are stoneware and porcelain clay. Most of his works are cast on the wheel, combined with other techniques. His new series of Ndalo ceramic vases are inspired and influenced by the textures, shapes, patterns and colours of Africa. Ndalo can be translated as nature or beautiful creation.
