ABOUT

Dié inisiatief gee aan feesgangers toegang tot plaaslike kunstenaars se skeppende ruimte. Deelnemende kunstenaars is op vasgestelde tye in hulle ateljee beskikbaar, terwyl van hulle ook in ateljees op die Blaauwklippen-wynlandgoed gehuisves word. Klim op ’n feesbussie in Ryneveldstraat en besoek die onderstaande ateljees in en om Stellenbosch.

Sharlé verken en eksperimenteer met nuwe vorme van uitdrukking en bring verskillende perspektiewe na wat sy om haar waarneem. Sy glo dit is dikwels daardie dinge wat ons in die verbygaan ignoreer wat lewe en sin gee aan kuns. Sy het groot dele van haar huis in werkstasies omskep waar leef- en kreatiewe ruimtes een word. In 2009 is sy met die tweede prys bekroon by die Florence-biënnale.

This initiative gives festival-goers access to the creative spaces of local artists. At set times, participating artists are available in their studios. Some of the artists are also housed in studios on the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Consult the guide to book a studio visit with your favourite artists. Hop on a park ‘n ride shuttle and visit the studios below across Stellenbosch and surrounds.

Sharlé explores and experiments with new forms of expression and brings different perspectives to what she sees around her. She believes that it is often what we walk past and ignore that exemplifies life and meaning in art. She has turned a large part of her home into work stations and living and creativity merge into one. In 2009 she received second prize at the Florence Biennale.
