Dié inisiatief gee aan feesgangers toegang tot plaaslike kunstenaars se skeppende ruimte. Deelnemende kunstenaars is op vasgestelde tye in hulle ateljee beskikbaar, terwyl van hulle ook in ateljees op die Blaauwklippen-wynlandgoed gehuisves word. Klim op ’n feesbussie in Ryneveldstraat en besoek die onderstaande ateljees in en om Stellenbosch.

Marie verbeeld die stories van Jamestown se mense wat om haar woon, dikwels met voorwerpe wat sosiale en maatskaplike kommentaar lewer. Haar portret- en figura­tiewe werk is lewensgroot en sy gebruik meestal houtskool met kleurryke elemente in ink of pastel wat ’n kontras vorm met die spel tussen lig en donker.

This initiative gives festival-goers access to the creative spaces of local artists. At set times, participating artists are available in their studios. Some of the artists are also housed in studios on the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Consult the guide to book a studio visit with your favourite artists. Hop on a park ‘n ride shuttle and visit the studios below across Stellenbosch and surrounds.

Marié depicts the stories of the people of Jamestown who live around her, often with objects that provide social and societal commentary. Her portrait and figurative works are life-size, and she mostly uses charcoal with colourful elements in ink or pastels, that play with the contrast between light and dark.
