The Office of Consul of Japan in Cape Town and the Stellenbosch University Japan Centre are proud to co-host the 11th Japan Day.
This FREE, family-friendly cultural festival celebrates the rich tapestry of Japanese culture and fosters understanding between South Africa and Japan.
What to Expect:
• Captivating Performances: Watch a range of Japanese cultural performances from martial arts demonstrations to a koto performance.
• Workshops: Learn traditional Japanese arts like mokuhanga (woodblock printing) and origami (paper folding), experience traditional Japanese tea, and explore the Japanese language.
• Cultural Displays: Admire the intricate art of bonsai, the elegance of ikebana, the beauty of Japanese kimono, and more.
