African healing modalities explore the vibrations and energies that exist beyond the limitations of linear comprehension. Join us in this series brought together by Indigenous Frequency Cast, Embo Ethongweni & Quiet Life Co for an opportunity to journey into the trance that is African Healing.
This evening will begin with a talk and presentation on African sound healing modalities with PhD Candidate Nkosenathi Koela, whose research into the Ngoma healing ecology explores the relationship between Isandi nesiNgqi (sound and vibrations) as accessible tools of healing in Southern Africa. This Conversation will dialogue through potential ways in which we can understand the power and function of Ancient and modern techniques and technologies of sound healing. The aim is to suggest a more informed and safer practice of sound healing in South Africa that is rooted in an existing healing ecology of Ngoma. Talk in collaboration with Ohio University.
