Lwanda Gogwana, a celebrated jazz trumpeter and composer, is dedicated to promoting South African jazz education and preserving the rich cultural heritage of African music.
With two acclaimed studio albums to his name, "Lwanda Gogwana – Songbook Chapter 1" and "Uhadi Synth," Gogwana's musical prowess and commitment to education are evident.
A recipient of a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition & Arrangement from the University of Cape Town, Gogwana has collaborated with a diverse range of artists and bands, including American jazz legend Donald Harrison and multi-award-winning pop star Tresor.
His passion for decolonizing African music education and amplifying the voices of African composers through sheet music publication underscores his dedication to preserving and promoting African musical traditions.
