ABOUT

The highly-anticipated inaugural Vice-Chancellor's Cultural Evening embodies Nelson Mandela University's values. Presented in celebration of Women's Month, the evening will showcase the diverse talents of the Department of Music and Performing Arts' students and faculty. Headlining the concert will be legendary Jazz saxophonist McCoy Mrubata, alongside vocalists Monique Hellenberg and Shannon-Leigh Botto. The Cape Town-based Community Philharmonic Orchestra and the Nelson Mandela University Symphony Orchestra will join forces to provide the evening's exquisite musical backing. Other highlights include the Nelson Mandela University Jazz Ensemble led by John Edwards, and appearances by rising stars Nande Mzaidume, Khanyisile Skade, Kamvelihle Kostile, Mmangaliso Mtshali, and more.


Admission is free, but booking is essential.
