‘BRING ANIMALS TO PARLIAMENT’ GATHERING

Fri Oct 4, 10:00 - Fri Oct 4, 13:00

Parliament of the Republic of South Africa

ABOUT

FOUR PAWS invites YOU to attend the first of its kind Animal Welfare Gathering to "Bring Animals to Parliament" as part of our #LiveKinder movement.

Event Details:

Overview:

FOUR PAWS South Africa delivered its first State of the Animal Welfare Address on May 10th, 2024, urging political parties to include animal welfare and sentience in their political manifestos.

Now, as a crucial follow up step in this mission, we are thrilled to announce the next chapter of our campaign. Help us ‘Bring animals to Parliament’ on World Animal Day, October 4th, 2024. We will gather outside Parliament to hand over a Memorandum outlining our demands and unveil and hand over a magnificent 1.5-meter tapestry artwork to key role players in government.

This tapestry is not just a piece of art—it is a profound symbol of our commitment to ‘Bring animals to Parliament’ and into the heart of our legislative processes. It will be prominently housed in Parliament, serving as a continuous, powerful reminder of our collective call for a world where animals are treated with respect, empathy and understanding.
