Nature Works Walk & Talk 2024

Sun Jul 28, 08:30 - Sun Jul 28, 11:30

Jakkalsdans, Riverside Estate, Lanseria

ABOUT

For some of us simply being told something exists is not enough. We want to know the why and the wherefore. Why have animals or plants chosen that particular habitat, how have lives been saved with the help of venomous creatures, what exactly is animal intelligence and biomimicry and how do we as humans fit into all of this?

If you have a curious mind, then this walk and talk is right up your alley.

You will have an opportunity to get a better understanding of how the natural world works as we take a closer look at concepts like biodiversity, ecosystem services, animal intelligence, biomimicry, and our own relationship with Nature. It will leave us better informed and more able to grasp the Bigger Picture, which is becoming increasingly important for the survival of the planet and our own species.

Jonathan Leeming, author of One World, started out with a passion for Scorpions but his love for nature developed into a determination to promote and encourage the conservation of the environment as a whole, including the general wellbeing of people through our often-forgotten interconnectedness with Nature.

This fascinating event will be taking place on Sunday the 28th of July at 8h30am and will finish at 11h30am.

It is a family friendly event and the terrain is not difficult to walk.

The costs are R95 per adult and R45 per child, 12 and under.

We will be meeting at Jakkalsdans, Riverside Estate which is accessible from Winsome Valley Road, off the R512 (Palindaba Road). An entry pin and directions once through the boom gate will be sent to you via WhatsApp at 7h30am on the morning of the

event.
