"Black Music Revisited: "Thank You for Your Service" is homage to heroes of the Black Radical Tradition, figures like Assata Shakur, Dennis Brutus, Ama Ata Aidoo and Kgotso Seathlolo to name a few who fought for the freedoms we enjoy. It's a bearing witness of the sacrifice and fighting spirit of individuals who stood for what freedom promises. This gathering is framed under the notion of the building of "sonic monuments", sonic monuments dedicated to the figures that ushered in our freedom"
