ABOUT

Navigating Neurodiversity is an education expo proudly organised by SOS Education. Aimed at both parents and educators, the expo will showcase schools and businesses from across the province involved in the education of children with ADHD, Autism and other neurodiverse conditions. Included in the expo, is a varied programme of talks centred around the topic of neurodiversity.

Most notably, Naomi Holdt, renowned psychologist, author and speaker, will be discussing how to foster resilience within the neurodiversity community. The exceptional programme of speakers also includes:

·       Dr Sia Rees (counselling psychologist)

·       Cara Markewicz (owner of OMtots Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids)

·       Chris Harrod (paediatric physiotherapist)

Furthermore, 5 October is International Teachers’ Day and a celebration of this event will be included in the programme with live music provided by Seb Goldswain. Parents are welcome to join in the celebration too! The expo entry includes a snack pack, provided by The Millflour Café. Cooldrinks, coffee and light snacks will be available onsite.

Navigating Neurodiversity 2024 is the first expo catering specifically to the needs of children with learning differences in KZN, and this is an event that should not be missed!
