When you think of bespoke suits your mind could easily be led to imagine a pristine, mahogany-walled room with thick Persian rugs absorbing your footsteps, rendering a kind of silence that is heavy with history, almost stale in its odour of regal opulence and character. When you step into House of Ole, this is not what you will find. Here, bespoke is not the kind rooted in a Beau Brummel philosophy of innovating while remaining inaccessible. For a fashion house birthed in South Africa, there is an understanding in House of Ole that in our past clothing became a way in which a brutalised and dispossessed people began to gather their dignity. A people who took pieces of clothing; hats, scarves, shawls, and patterned fabric and imbued them with cultural significance that bordered on spirituality. When street smart gangs in 1950’s Sophiatown draped themselves in iconic garments, it was a testament to how a people turned the ability to choose an outfit into an act of social and political defiance; looking good could be an act of war.

Collection Title: “Disclosure”
Lezanne Viviers is a Johannesburg-based fashion designer and the founder and creative director of VIVIERS. Cradled among the gold-mined caverns of 'The Origins of Humankind,' Johannesburg, VIVIERS creates conceptual and Earth-conscious clothing that is homegrown in South Africa but projects ideas of universal Future Fossils. "I have always been torn between the liminal lines of my inner duality; I am as masculine as I am feminine, as colourful as I am dark. I am neither just African nor do I adhere to any global aesthetic school in art, nor a specific style in fashion. I am as deeply affected by my Scorpio moon as I am grounded in my Taurian sun."
VIVIERS' Spring Summer 25/26 collection, DISCLOSURE, seeks to reveal and unveil universal truth, by investigating the undisclosed.
DISCLOSURE seeks to provoke contemplation on the power of knowledge, the fragility of perceived realities, and the potential for radical transformation as we step into a new era of transparency, an era where the truth sets us free. It all begins with DISCLOSURE.
VIVIERS aims to cultivate a transformative fashion community, envisioning a 'New Earth' or a new industry focused on handcrafted garments that result from meaningful, artistic experimentation.

MINA
Mozambique Fashion Week
MINA, founded by fashion designer Shaazia Adam in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, hails from Maputo, Mozambique. Pioneering sustainability, it produces 90% of its garments locally in standard sizes, using natural fibres like cotton and linen. Embracing slow fashion, the brand manufactures in-house with muted stock, offering customization in colour. Inspiration for this collection for South Africa fashion week took me in a journey of the freedom of being oneself. From the depths of the sea, when the water cold as we swim with no air and in movement seeking for the freedom of being, swimming up the shore for air or liberation. We looked at shells, corals and jelly fish and the ripples created on the sand by the waves, macrame that represents the knotting and feeling of being tied and liberating to freedom of being. I consider that I am a different designer from the other because I try to explore different techniques by collaborating with other local artists to develop new accessories and techniques in our garments. We also are a brand working towards sustainability, we use upcycling techniques and try reduce our waste as low as possible.
