The Darling Brew proudly brings you the 15th edition of Voorkamerfest.

This unique event comprises of concerts held in the “voorkamers” (front rooms) of the homes of Darling residents.

The element of excitement and surprise for visitors are - that you do not know which three houses you will visit neither do you know which artists you will see.

One ticket will get you onto one route where you will see three diverse performances in three diverse homes in three different districts of Darling.

Taxi departure times: (it is essential that you collect your tickets at least an hour before taxi departure time to avoid missing your ride)

·        Saturday 11H00 - R 300

·         Saturday 17H00 - R 300

·         Sunday 11H00 - R 300

Group bookings are possible; no reductions. Please be aware members of your group might see different shows on different routes depending on the colors you choose.

Arrival should be an hour before your taxi departs from Darling Brew, Caledon Street in Darling. But do come earlier and enjoy the tastings at the Darling Brew Tasteroom!

Everything related to your route which you have booked is colour coded - you receive a colour coded wristband which indicates the taxi rank you need to queue at which will take you to your colour coded theatre homes Darling town. Follow the signs to the Voorkamerfest Box Office to collect your wrist bands where you will receive further information regarding the taxi rank.

The taxis take you to 3 theatre homes where it is guaranteed you will be well entertained by the fabulous line-up of performing arts of all disciplines. You will see 3 different 30 minute shows in 3 different venues. Seats are limited so we suggest you book for the whole weekend asap - you could see a total of 9 different shows ever the full event.

Very important that you be sure not to book the same colour route in order to ensure you see different shows every time!

Performances range from dance, music (classical, jazz, world), poetry, stand-up comedy, circus, mime, drama or cabaret. The venues and performers remain a surprise until you arrive at your theatre venue!

There is ample guarded parking at the venue as well as a restaurant & bar. The Main Road of Darling, has a number of excellent eateries who are waiting for your visit, be sure to book a table directly with the eateries in advance to avoid disappointment.
