Marimba Jam is proud to present the 8th annual Marimba Jam Festival on 28th September at 18:30 at the CTICC, Cape Town, with theme, "HARMONY IN DIVERSITY".
In celebration of Heritage Month, the Marimba Jam Festival celebrates our diverse community, uniting young musicians through the power of collective music-making.
Marimba Jam brings together hundreds of marimba students from schools across Cape Town breaking barriers of colour, creed, and background. The festival focuses on music education and is a catalyst of transformation, empowering youth to experience performing on professional stages like the world-renowned Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Audiences can expect to be taken on a musical journey through the ages with modern day hits, nostalgic classics and a touch of traditional song and dance.
Experience the exhilarating sound of 100 marimbas performing stunning arrangements from local icons like Miriam Makeba, Zakes Bantwini and Tyla to international legends like Coldplay and Mozart. A special Disney number will thrill young audience members!
