It is firstly important to understand how your test equipment - test instruments should operate before you can correctly perform any compliance procedures.
Secondly, how the correct procedures of: Inspection, Testing and Verification set out in SANS 10142-1:2021 Ed3.1 is performed.
BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENTS/METERS ALLONG. We will teach you how they work and how to get the most out of your investment.
And as it's set out in the EIR, each Certificate of Compliance shall be accompanied by a fully detailedtest report for each part of the Electrical Installation, supply which consists of Grid-(Council - Municipal / Eskom), PV-Solar, Generator(s), and UPS.
All in the viewpoint from the Authorised Inspection Authorities and of the Department of Labour.
We encourage all attendees to participate in discussions and exercises.
The workshop will be hosted by Braam Van Emmenis and Gavin Quin; with guest Ian Downard from Uni-T to showcase their instruments and Sampie Marais from Energy Warehouse to introduce the complete Coc on site by Digitising your Coc.
The workshop will be from 8:00 - 16:00. Lunch included.

Drive North on the N1 towards Polokwane, take the Hammanskraal Boekenhoutskloof off ramp, turn right and left after 300meters stay on the Rust de Winter Road. Enter Dinokeng at Tau gate keep on the tar road till passed Safari mall and a cattle grid. Turn right on De Wagensdrift Road for 3.8 km use the Laksman Street entrance, call Braam on 0825546483 to open the gate, drive about 300 meters, turn right at Kolobe Ya Naga, proceed to the gate.....
