Moscow Soloists Ensemble conducted by renowned Yuri Bashmet
The Moscow Soloists Chamber ensemble was created by Yuri Bashmet in 1986. In 1992, the ensemble was completely renewed: Yuri Bashmet reassembled the team, inviting graduates, students and postgraduates of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory.
Yuri Bashmet is one of the greatest musicians of our time, who has received worldwide recognition as a violist, conductor and public figure. As a student, Yuri Bashmet became a laureate of international competitions in Budapest and ARD in Munich.
Yuri Bashmet's name has long been synonymous with musical depth, virtuosity and artistic courage.
He performed everything that was possible and what seemed impossible on the viola.
Bashmet is a multi-award-winning artist, receiving awards from countries all over the world. He is currently the artistic director of 15 festivals in eight different countries. He is a professor and head of the Viola Department at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
