ABOUT
Tjoms in Arms is a bouldering competition like no other. It breaks the traditional mould of each competitor for themselves and instead uplifts the glue that holds the climbers of the world together - community. At TIA you compete in teams of two, MM, FF or MF. Your scores are added together for your teams total, and if you crush you go to the finals.
The day itself is lekker and not to be missed, whether you’re a competitor or athlete. Friends and Allies puts on a skitz party. Food, drinks, games and quizzes, a wild finals and afterparty. It’s a vibe.
On the day there will be four rounds of qualifiers.
You book your slot, arrive with your tjommie and start sessioning.
The quali’s run from:
- Round 1: 8 - 10am
- Round 2: 10:15am - 12:15pm
- Round 3: 12:30pm - 14:30pm
- Round 4: 14:45pm - 16:45pm
After the qualifiers there’ll be a talk and quiz.
At 19:00 the finals will kick off and you can see some serious moves on the walls for 2 hours. After finals is the prize giving and then the afterparty will kick off.
There’s also snacks for the snacks - we’ll have food stalls throughout the day so you can grab a lekker brekkie, lunch and dinner.
If you’re keen to pull through but not punt that’s also good, just grab yourself a spectator ticket and you’re golden for some prime people watching.
