One of South Africa's most revered jazz drummers. A protege, who found his groove as teenager among jazz giants. It was under the tutelage of the great Zim Ngqawana, Herbie Tsoaeli, Andile Yenana and others that he found his voice and made life long musical friendships with the likes of Nduduzo Makhathini. A master coming into his own, in our time. As he puts it;"This concert will be a dedication of the influence I had from listening to Black music. Starting to my Grand Master Zim Ngqawana ,Winston Mankunku Ngozi, to other Masters like John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Kenny Garret just to name a few."
