The East Rand School of the Arts is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2024 Festival, which is open to our learners, the Daveyton community, and the surrounding areas. Our primary objective for the festival is to raise essential funds to support the growth and sustainability of our institution, enabling us to continue providing education and nurturing future artists. We are dedicated to educating the community about the arts, emphasizing the value of arts education, and highlighting the diverse career paths and opportunities available within the arts industry. The festival will showcase a wide range of exhibitions from our departments of Dance, Drama, Design, Music, Visual, and Applied Arts, offering a comprehensive look into the creativity and talent fostered within our institution. Join us for an enriching experience that celebrates the arts and encourages community engagement.
The festival will showcase a diverse range of guests representing the arts industry, including renowned artists, influential figures from media houses, talented performers, and skilled applied artists. These specially invited guests will actively participate in engaging with the community and learners through a series of motivational talk sessions and networking events. We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to introduce this level of meaningful interaction to our community.
The festival is designed with several objectives in mind. Firstly, it aims to disseminate knowledge to the broader community, offering insights and information related to the arts.
