Amazing Plants Walk

Sat Oct 26, 08:00 - Sat Oct 26, 10:00

Kloofendal Nature Reserve

ABOUT

Why are plants important, actually essential, in our lives? They are the only organisms that can make “food” for themselves to survive, grow and reproduce as well as providing food for many other organisms, basically in a process called photosynthesis. How do our plants manage to survive in the challenging Highveld conditions? How are they adapted to stop or reduce animals eating them – utilising their products from photosynthesis?

Come and discover why our indigenous plants on the Highveld are amazing with field guide, Karin Spottiswoode

Meet at the Ecological Centre 15 minutes before the event. This event will go ahead regardless of the weather. For queries, please contact the Friends of Kloofendal (phone, WhatsApp) on 079 693-5608. For more information about Kloofendal Nature Reserve, please go to www.kloofendalfriends.org.za
